A Three-Fold Chord Is Not Easily Broken

Ecclesiastes 4:9-11

9- Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
10- For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
11- Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?

Some have said that they see no need to actually going to Church, that they believe they can be saved and not have to go to Church.  They look on Churches in general and see nothing more than the faults of those in the Church as an excuse for not being involved in a Church.  They believe that they can do better for themselves alone than when going to Church.  But, I have been there, it is NOT good to as the Bible says, "forsake the assembling of ourselves together."

Yes, there are those in the Church that make mistakes daily, we all do.  No one is perfect in how they live or how they act, we are ALL struggling with the temptations of life.  Thus is the need for Jesus and His sacrifice, so that we do not have to struggle to earn our way into Heaven.  But the Church is more than a place to throw your hands in the air once a week, it is more than a place to go to the alter and pray.  While these things are good, being involved in Church is as much for our support and help in our daily struggle to live for Jesus and to prevail against the temptations of this life.

When you become active in Church, when you begin to become a member of the "Family" of Christ, you are then able to know and depend on the fact that you not only have the support of the members of the Church to help guide you through whatever life throws your way, you can also be used by God to help others make it through things that you have already experienced in your life.  Being a part of a Church Family means that in your time of trouble, need or temptation, you have others to depend on to help you through.

Going to Church also provides accountability in your walk with Jesus.  You see, left to ourselves, it is easy also forsake time spent with God, or to fall away from our Faith in general.  But when we are a part of a Church, combined with seeking God daily, God will provide ways for us to be useful to the Church FOR HIM.  In providing ways for us to be useful for His Purpose, He also helps us to be more accountable in our daily walk with Him.  We become Believers that can be depended on when others need help with the struggles of life.  We all go through them, although many times they are never the same for any two people, God provides a way for us to not be alone in life when we give into the calling to be a part of a Church Family.

If you are hurting, struggling with the troubles of this life, know this one fact.  The people in your local church may not be perfect, but if you get your eyes off of them and onto Jesus and become a part of the Church, God can use you to help others through and He can also provide the help you need when you have struggles.  We are not as strong on our own as we are when we have others that care for us and are willing to help see us through the troubles of life.

Dear Father in Heaven, I want to thank you today for the Church Family that you have provided for me and my family, I thank You for the support and encouragement that comes from the people you have brought into my life.  Please help those that read this post today to find a a Bible Believing Church, and to know the Love and Support that being in that Church can provide them while they make their way through this life.  In Jesus Name, Amen
